The Red Cross Mission Statement is clear:
"The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies."
Since the Dyer County Chapter was first organized, it has performed those duties to its fullest potential.

The Annual Meeting of the Dyer County Chapter of the American Red Cross is scheduled for Tuesday, June 28 at 5:00 pm at the Dyer County office 326 S Mill Ave. The minimum number of 20 voting members is required for this meeting; so therefore, your presence will be greatly appreciated.

Standard First Aid and Adult CPR classes are being offered on Thursday, June 2 at 8:30 a.m. by the Dyer County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Storm Shelter Opens at Dyersburg First

The Dyer County Chapter of the American Red Cross has opened up a storm shelter at Dyersburg First Assembly of God. "We are here for anyone that needs to come," said Red Cross Shelter Manager Maria Starks. The shelter is located at 730 East Court and has a capacity for approximately 75-100 people.
